Start with your number

Your birth month and your birth day, plus 2027. Your birth year is not part of it — that’s what makes this different from a life path number.

Prefer to work it out by hand

Birth month + birth day + 2027, added down to a single digit. Three things about this trip people up: the birth year is not part of it, the answer is always 1 through 9 (11, 22, and 33 are used for life path numbers, not personal years), and 2027 itself reduces to 2 — so every calculation ends with “+ 2”.

Born March 14. March is the 3rd month, so the month value is 3. The day 14 reduces to 1 + 4 = 5. Then 3 + 5 + 2 = 10, and 1 + 0 = 1.
Born November 30. November is the 11th month: 1 + 1 = 2. The day 30 reduces to 3 + 0 = 3. So 2 + 3 + 2 = 7.
Born August 19. August is 8. The day 19 reduces to 1 + 9 = 10, then 1 + 0 = 1. So 8 + 1 + 2 = 11 — and because personal years only run 1 through 9, that becomes 1 + 1 = 2, not an 11.

A note on method

Numerology has more than one tradition. Some numerologists include your birth year in the personal year calculation; some keep 11 and 22 intact instead of reducing them. This workbook uses one method — birth month + birth day + the calendar year, reduced to a single digit 1 through 9 — and applies it consistently on every page. The workbook explains this openly so you know exactly what you’re working with if you’ve calculated your number somewhere else.

Questions

Do I need to know anything about numerology?

No. The workbook starts from zero: one addition, explained with three worked examples and a lookup table. If arithmetic isn’t your thing, the table gives you the answer directly.

What if I already calculated my personal year somewhere else and got a different number?

That happens, and it’s not an error on either side. Different traditions calculate it differently — some include your birth year, some keep master numbers 11 and 22 intact. This workbook explains the method it uses and applies it consistently throughout. What matters more than which method you use is that you stay with one, so the year has a stable frame.

Is my personal year the same as my life path number?

No, and mixing them up is the most common confusion. Your life path number comes from your full birth date and stays the same your whole life. Your personal year changes every year and cycles back around every nine. This workbook is about the personal year.

Does it only cover my number, or all of them?

All nine are included in full. You only need your own section, but having the rest means you can look up a partner, a friend, or family from the same file.
